Chief Executive Officer
AJ Nieves
Aj is the leader and CEO of Armant with a lifelong passion in aerospace. Aj developed his leadership in a fortune 500 aerospace company leading multi-disciplinary engineering integrated product teams developing complex systems for national security. Aj has extensive experience leading proposal and execution teams on multi-billion dollar government contracts for strategic and missile defense systems, including hypersonic flight systems. Aj is taking this experience and employing it to bring the optimal solution to our customers.

Aj earned both his Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering with an concentration in propulsion system design and a Master’s of Science in Electro-Mechanical Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
Chief Operations Officer
Dan Evans, P.E.
Dan is the Chief Operation Officer at Armant responsible for the Project Management of our programs. He comes with 40+ years of Structural/Mechanical Design, Systems Integration, System Architecture and Project Management. Dan developed his experience at a fortune 500 aerospace company leading multi-disciplinary projects for internal R&D and multibillion dollar government programs in a variety of systems. He has been instrumental, as a technical lead, on winning hypersonic system proposals. He has taken projects from Concept Development thru Operations and Deployment. He has supported Hypersonics, Life Support Systems, Propulsion Systems, Air/Land/Sea Launch Systems, Launch Ground Support Systems, Cryogenics, and Space Systems.
Dan received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Colorado State University and a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering Sciences with specialization in Space Sciences from University of Colorado-Boulder.
Chief Financial Officer
Megan Elkins
Megan is the Chief Financial Officer. In her role, she is responsible for all accounting and financial reporting functions.
Prior to co-founding Armant, Megan gained extensive experience in auditing and compliance. She began her career as a Junior Auditor at the Department of Defense Contract Audit Agency and later was promoted to Supervisory Auditor. During her tenure with DCAA, she was able to audit programs such as the James Webb Telescope, GMD, and many other large efforts.
Megan’s experience in Federal Regulation, specifically in the field of Acquisition, eventually led to a new role at Deloitte as part of their Federal Contracts group. As a Compliance Manager, she was responsible for ensuring accounting practice changes were documented and in accordance with regulation, monitored Management and Government reporting, and assisted in the creation of indirect rate structures for Deloitte in South Africa. She also served as a liaison between auditing agencies and technical employees.
Megan earned her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Athens State University in Alabama and later obtained her MBA from Florida Tech.
Chief Compliance Officer
Courtney Klein
Courtney is the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) at Armant. She comes from a background for 10+ years of government auditing and 3+ years of contract administration. Courtney is passionate ensuring Armant compliant with all aspects of business for our future customers. She is responsible for the implementation, integrity and on-going testing of Armant's compliance.

Courtney received a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Athens State University and a Master of Business Administration from Columbia Southern University.
President of Business Development
Chris Hoza
Possess 23,000 total military and civil flight hours accumulated over a career as both a Naval Aviator and pilot with United Airlines. Designated a Naval Aviator at age 22. Served in six major sea deployments to the Mediterranean Sea, Western Pacific, Indian Ocean, and North Arabian Sea. Served as a Naval test pilot for four years at the Naval Air Test Center (NAS) and a designated Weapon systems Acquisition Manager (WASM) in Patuxent River, Md. Conducted flight tests as the Black Program’s Department Head responsible for conducting and managing Developmental Test and Evaluation (DT&E); Initial Operational Test and Evaluation (IOT&E) and Follow-on Operational Test and Evaluation (FOT&E) of many high priority DOD and USN projects.
Recently retired after 27 years at United Airlines(UA). Flight experience includes but not limited to: B727 Flight engineer, B737 Copilot, B757/767 Copilot, B777 Copilot, A319/320 Captain with over 11,000 hours, B787 Captain. Flight Licenses include: Flight Engineer Transport Aircraft B727, Airline Transport Pilot, Multiengine Land A319/ A320/ B757/ B767/ B777/ B787/ L188, Commercial Privileges, as well as Single Engine Land and Turbojet.
Management experience included time as the Assistant Chief Pilot at KORD and Member of the UAL FAA Line Operations Safety Assessment (LOSA) committee.
Expert in all aspects of FAA regulations, airport interoperability and compatibility requirements, as well as intimate knowledge of commercial aircraft flight systems. Maintains currency in his Cirrus SR22T.
